Position Description:
The Project Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for ensuring the organization remains compliant with both governmental and project level payroll/demographic reporting requirements. In addition, the compliance specialist is responsible for ensuring that Bond Civil & Utility and all subcontractors remain compliant with both internal, and project level insurance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage certified payroll process for required projects
- Collect and review subcontractor certified payroll records
- Monitor union and prevailing wage rates on a per project basis
- Manage prevailing wage setups and monitor weekly compliance with payroll
- Manage vendor and subcontractor compliance with insurance tracking, EEO and DBE reporting
- Ensure projects are set up in accordance with the contract requirements
- Assist project teams with ad hoc requests relative to compliance
- Perform various project related analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Assist other departments with ad hoc requests
- Support job audits
- Work on special projects as directed by management
Qualifications:
- Exceptional time-management skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables
- Be able to proactively influence and establish positive working relationships with clients, unions, subcontractors, and BOND employees
- Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Must display initiative and independent thinking
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Experience with COINS or Heavy Job software a plus
- Construction industry and/or payroll experience preferred
