POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Program Manager is responsible for administering and refining FastMed’s strategic compliance programs, policies, and procedures. This position will hold primary responsibility for receiving and managing compliance incidents generally and will ensure the organization maintains operational compliance in the specific areas of privacy and healthcare fraud and abuse. The position reports to and will collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the execution and maintenance of organization’s compliance program 
  • Administers FastMed’s compliance hotline and software platform  
  • Performs internal audits and ongoing review of regulatory requirements to create organizational systems that will enhance compliance 
  • Coordinate site visits by auditors and/or regulators 
  • Participates in internal compliance committee activities 
  • Investigates reports of misconduct, and policy violations  
  • Assist in developing and delivering compliance training content for staff covering HIPAA, healthcare fraud and abuse, PCI-DSS, and other relevant topics 
  • Monitor changes in the healthcare industry relating to compliance and enforcement  
  • Assists in due diligence activities of potential business ventures  
  • Other duties may include the following: 
  • Participate in professional development efforts to ensure currency in health care policies and trends 
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of practice electronic medical record system and other relevant software relating to job functions 
  • Attend annual Compliance, Coding/Auditing, OSHA, or other designated training programs 
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested 
  • Perform other tasks and projects assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in legal/paralegal, healthcare, risk management, or other compatible field 
  • Minimum of five years of progressive career development in healthcare compliance, with an emphasis or focus in privacy 
  • Relevant certification in healthcare compliance or privacy (CHC, CIPP, CHPC, etc.) or completion of a relevant graduate certification program a plus
