Summary
The Customs Brokerage Compliance Analyst reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. Customs Brokerage Compliance Manager & Director of Customs Brokerage Compliance.
This position requires excellent analytical skills along with the ability to monitor and report the activities of all Import Brokerage compliance in the US, including all Participating Government Agencies involved in regulating the importation of freight to Compliance Manager. Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting policies, procedures and direction for a compliant Import Customs regulatory compliance program.
- Assist in the monitoring and enforcing compliance policy guidelines for reasonable care and paperless recordkeeping.

Essential Functions
Provide internal regulatory support & guidance including but not limited to the following compliance areas:
Brokerage Compliance Work Duties
- Monitor compliance activities to ensure reasonable care and accuracy of all LUS branch’s Customs entry filing and paper/paperless recordkeeping activities.
- Run various Customs entry reports both from the CW1 brokerage system as well as from the ACE portal for compliance monitoring as well as for internal quarterly entry audits.
- Compile data into CSV or Excel formats and conduct analysis for review by the Compliance Manager and Director of Brokerage Compliance.
- Conduct tariff classification reviews for both the internal branches as well as for external clients.
- Develop and maintain classification databases for key accounts and update CW1 by client to improve efficiency of classifications and proper SPI and PGA codes and data being applied to the entries.
- Maintain current employee listing in the ACE portal by working with LUS HR Managers to ensure compliance with the reporting of new and terminated employees within the 30-day regulatory requirement.
- Proactive pursuit of updated information from HR is required for reporting all employees affected within a facility housing a brokerage entry operation.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all LUS Branch Brokerage Managers

Previous Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years brokerage experience
- Strong classification and regulatory knowledge
- Customs data reports extraction and analysis skills
- strong classification and regulatory knowledge
- 3 years supervisor/managerial experience
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Equivalent work experience will be considered in-lieu of education
