About the Role

As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a vital role in tracking and reporting environmental commitments to ensure alignment with key regulatory requirements. You’ll manage environmental data within a specialized database, prepare compliance reports, and assist with the documentation process during the construction phase. Your work will directly contribute to the success of major infrastructure projects by ensuring that environmental regulations and commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Maintain and manage environmental data in specialized databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of environmental commitments and activities.
  • Construction-phase Documentation: Assist in managing construction-phase environmental compliance documentation, ensuring all necessary approvals, permits, and inspections are completed as required.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance is met at every stage of the project.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Support project teams in understanding and complying with major environmental laws and permits, including NEPA, CEQA, and other key regulatory requirements.



What You Bring

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, project management, or a related field.
  • Environmental Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including NEPA, CEQA, and major permitting requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with database management tools such as SharePoint and other database applications.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise compliance reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential compliance issues and assist in their resolution.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance reporting tools and software applications.
  • Certification in environmental compliance or related disciplines is a plus.
