Job Summary


Join the Risk Management and Compliance team at JPMorgan Chase and play a crucial role in maintaining our resilience by anticipating emerging risks. As a Senior Associate in the Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization, you'll work with a global team of over 700, supporting our Anti-money laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-corruption programs. You'll use your expertise to identify and monitor risk, communicating findings effectively across various management levels.


The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization is part of The Global Compliance & Regulatory Management organization which is responsible for the provision of compliance services to the Firm. The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization has over 700 staff members across the world. The team covers both global and business-aligned functions supporting the firm's Anti-money laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-corruption programs and is led by the BSA/AML Officer and the AML Operations Executive. 


A successful candidate needs to demonstrate technical, statistical, and analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and to observe the highest degree of confidentiality in handling the information used. You will partner with a variety of different groups across the firm to drive program objectives to successful completion. You are a team player with effective communication skills, can work independently and is adaptable to change.


Job Responsibilities



  • Develop actionable Financial Crimes intelligence that illuminates existing and emerging risk trends to inform senior management

  • Support and develop various Financial Crimes intelligence dashboards 

  • Support requests for specialized analytics by researching data sources and developing custom logic

  • Support projects involving various Corporate, Technology, and Line of Business groups to identify and implement new intelligence opportunities

  • Effectively communicates observations to various level of management

  • Initiate and cultivate relationships across various Corporate, Legal, Technology and Line of Business groups to drive program objectives to successful completion

  • Facilitate as a backup for other analytics positions within the team


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills



  • Experience working in AWS environment [2+ years experience]

  • Cloud Data Platforms Databricks and Snowflake [2+ years of experience]

  • Experience building complex SQL statements and working knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle and Teradata [2+ years experience]

  • Programming experience with Python, SAS, and/or Spark [2+ years experience]

  • Experience with applying data science techniques using statistical analysis to analyze large data sets leveraging SAS or similar [2+ years experience]

  • Advanced dashboard development experience with QlikView, Tableau or similar [1+ years of experience]

  • Experience building complex workflows leveraging Alteryx Designer [2+ years of experience]

  • Strong analytical skills to enable efficient, accurate and objective decision making
