What is the Opportunity
Join the RBC Wealth Management (WM) Compliance team and drive regulatory excellence across our integrated organization, including the recently integrated City National Bank (CNB) WM division. In this pivotal role, you'll:

Manage compliance frameworks by overseeing the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) process, administering Issues Management, Risk Assessment, Monitoring, Testing, and Reporting functions

Ensure enterprise alignment by monitoring WM adherence to U.S./Enterprise Standards and managing impacts to Risk Appetite Metrics (RAMs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Drive continuous improvement as the centralized Subject Matter Expert (SME) for day-to-day compliance inquiries, implementing process enhancements and enterprise-wide initiatives

What you’ll do

Implement and operationalize the RCM framework across WM, including Risk Assessment methodology, Issues Management, regulatory controls, and monitoring plans

Establish comprehensive compliance reporting by developing and maintaining metrics dashboards and results documentation
-
Ensure U.S./Enterprise Standards compliance by translating RCM policies into WM-specific processes and procedures

Monitor adherence and close gaps by proactively identifying process deviations and implementing corrective measures

Manage compliance impact analysis on WM's RAMs, KRIs, and SLAs
-
Serve as centralized RCM subject matter expert for WM, fielding inquiries from Enterprise, U.S. service teams, advisory teams and first-line-of-defense partners

Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and enterprise-level optimizations

Facilitate cross-functional alignment between Compliance, WM leadership, and Enterprise stakeholders to ensure seamless framework adoption
What you’ll need to succeed
-
2-5 years of compliance framework implementation and/or process management experience, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams

Baseline Understanding of U.S. securities regulations impacting WM, with a foundational knowledge of WM products, strategies, and activities
-
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; strong organizational and project management capabilities with proven ability to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines
-
Technical proficiency in process tracking and efficiency tools; capable of working independently and collaboratively while making sound, time-sensitive decisions
-
Advisory capability to assess RCM requirement applicability to WM and provide timely, accurate guidance to WM leadership and stakeholders
What are nice-to-haves

Advanced degree (Master's or Law School Degree) in relevant field

RBC organizational knowledge including familiarity with RBC's diverse business divisions and operating structure

RCM platform experience with hands-on exposure to RCM systems and tools

For Minneapolis: The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $70,000 - $120,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
