About the Manager of Academic Systems and Compliance Role: This position will be a key member of KIPP Colorado’s Academic and Schools Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, this position partners with the Chief Academic Officer, Academic and Schools Leadership Team (Managing Director of Academics, Managing Directors of Schools), and key Home Office Team and campus leadership to establish and refine systems for communication, progress monitoring, standard operating procedures, compliance, and accountability. The person in this position must be skilled at building systems at a network level and navigating relationships among schools, regional staff and DPS, communicating effectively and influentially, and managing projects. This full-time position, is a part of our Regional Team, and is set to end on 06/30/2026.

Academic Systems and Coordination
- Manage the design and implementation of complex projects, strategies, change leadership, and trainings for regional leaders, school leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders to support strong instruction and ensure progress towards ambitious goals that improve outcomes for students at scale.
- Creates and maintains structures that support School Readiness planning and execution in partnership with the Academics and Schools Leadership Team.
- Manage academic assessment tools, data systems (SchoolMint Grow, Sibme, etc.), and progress monitoring, including working with external partners like iReady and our internal teams at the Home Office and schools.
- Liaises with DPS and external partners (including consultants), as needed.
- In collaboration with Academic and Schools Leadership Team, track progress towards goals and make strategic decisions regarding collaboration and support or campuses, including vetting contractors, coordinating strategic planning needs, and collaboration between campuses and Home Office.
- Lead on the annual curriculum procurement process including creation of inventory management system, communication with campuses, and a process to support judicial use of funds and ensuring schools have necessary curriculum for the first day of instruction.
- Design and refine tools and resources in real-time to respond to campus and student needs, in support of academic and instructional goals.
- Support communication tools - such as emails, documents, slides, etc. - to share progress or updates to a variety of regional, school, and community stakeholders.
Supporting the Academics and Schools Leadership Team and Office of the CAO
Serve as the key support for the Academics and Schools Leadership Team related to calendaring, scheduling, logistics, and delegated communication management.
- Support and lead logistics coordination for Leader Development Weeks and Regional PD Days, in collaboration with our Strategy Team.
- Manage details for complex meetings, schedules, and interviews while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality; ensure that meeting details are confirmed (attendance, time/duration, location, agendas, materials) and proactively plan for travel time and other logistical considerations
- Create and distribute draft agendas, provide advance materials, and execute follow-up for meetings and events as requested by the CAO
- Manage projects, action item tracking, and key initiative progress monitoring
- Manage cascading communication process for the CAO and Academics and School Leadership team, especially related to Strategic Plan Priorities and
- Track deadlines and/or update organizational systems to best support productivity and effectiveness
- Coordinate staff learning, growth, and development opportunities and sessions
Maintaining Systems for Office of CAO
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of KIPP Colorado to provide informed responses or support to internal and external stakeholders
- Receive, sort, and distribute key information via email or team meetings to relevant Academics Team members
- Oversee knowledge management, including Google Drive and Microsoft Suite organizations and upkeep, as well as other document responsibilities
- Assist with clerical tasks, including typing, filing, proofreading, and data entry and validation, as requested
- Keep the CAO well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and potential problems across the Academics team and campuses
- Maintain confidentiality
- Conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner
Assessment and Compliance Leadership
- Work with the HR Team to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal academic programming requirements including, but not limited to, Read Act and state assessment by keeping the academic team abreast of any areas of compliance concern.
- Serve as a liaison between KIPP Colorado and Denver Public Schools to ensure completion of state assessments.
- Serve as a project manager, thought partner and liaison on the Unified Improvement Plan process with KIPP Colorado campuses, Denver Public Schools, and the Colorado Department of Education.
- Serve as a project manager, thought partner and liaison on the Black Excellence Plan process with KIPP Colorado campuses, Denver Public Schools.
- Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert between KIPP Colorado teams (e.g. schools, operations, academics, talent) to ensure that processes and systems are documented, codified, and replicable.

- Minimum 2 years of professional work experience as teacher, project manager, or school operations (required)
