We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Facilities Accreditation & Compliance (FAC) Specialist to join our team.


Role Summary: As a Healthcare Facilities Compliance Manager, the chosen candidate will support the Defense Health Agency’s Program Manager and technical advisors in ensuring compliance with fire safety, Statement of Conditions, and Environment of Care programs across global Military Treatment Facilities. You will play a vital role in planning, scheduling, and conducting training and consultation to ensure ongoing compliance and successful accreditation efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Consultation: Plan, schedule, and conduct training sessions (both in-person and virtual) on compliance with Joint Commission and NFPA standards.
  • Content Preparation: Create and organize training materials for presentations and events.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update the FAC SharePoint site with relevant information.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Review on-site surveys and build trend reports on compliance with Joint Commission standards.
  • Documentation & Communication: Assist in drafting action plans, responding to compliance questions, and ensuring timely follow-up and administrative close-out.
  • Coordination: Work closely with DHA Fire Protection Engineers to resolve compliance issues and prepare budget estimates.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other teams and departments to support and implement necessary changes.
  • Program Development: Develop and evaluate long-term goals and strategies to improve processes and program effectiveness.
  • Representation: Represent the DHA Facility Operations Branch at meetings, briefings, and conferences.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in medical facilities compliance (with recent experience in the past 36 months).
  • 2 years of technical experience with Environment of Care (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, NFPA codes, OSHA requirements, Joint Commission standards, FGI Guidelines, and ASHRAE standards and facility inspections.
  • Active favorable NACI clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu, or other project management tools.,

 

Salary: Compensation based on skill and experience.
