PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Director of Compliance is responsible for overseeing and managing the compliance programs within the organization. This includes ensuring that the company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies, developing and implementing compliance strategies, and providing guidance on compliance matters to senior management and staff.
REPORTS TO: Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer
I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Program Management
· Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
· Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks.
Training and Education
· Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
· Provide ongoing education and updates on compliance issues and changes in regulations.
Risk Management
· Identify and assess compliance risks within the organization.
· Develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
Reporting and Documentation
· Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities.
Advisory Role
· Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance issues.
· Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters.
Investigations
· Lead and manage internal investigations related to compliance concerns.
· Ensure proper documentation and resolution of compliance issues.
II. QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related field.
· Proven track record of managing compliance programs and leading teams.
Skills
· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications
· Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or equivalent are preferred
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 80K
